ICCN in Fall

Updated: Jan 25, 2022

The fall season saw me digging deeper into my relationship with

the Divine, others and even myself. Autumn invited me to expand my intercultural horizons. We went to the Mexican Museum of Art, Field museum, and to a synagogue for cultural experiences. We were invited to a Halloween party at the Dominicans where we dressed like scary Bible characters or saints. We experienced the

first snowfall in early November. We had movie and game nights with the Hyde Park novices. Two of my sisters (from the congregation) flew from Orange to join us for Thanksgiving and for the Intercommunity Novitiate workshops in Racine, Wisconsin where we learned Family of Origin and Sexuality. We had fun learning and dancing with the ICN novices. Fall helped me move into Advent and the Christmas season with awe-filled anticipation.
